See Zion National Park Like You Never Have Before

Ever had that dream where you’re soaring over beautiful vistas? Maybe skimming just above the surface of a gurgling stream or swooshing down the side of a cliff? Paramount and the National Park Foundation bring your dreams to life in honor of Earth Week. Starting April 22, 2024, the Paramount Plus live stream features seven days of America’s favorite parks.

The live streams conclude on Sunday, April 30, with what we consider the showstopper: our own Zion National Park in southern Utah. It only seems right. After all, Zion’s breathtaking red cliffs are unlike any other in the world. (And, there happens to be four other unique and equally impressive parks nearby: Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Arches).

Show time

Starting at 6:05 a.m. on Paramount Plus, you can watch Zion National Park wake up; at sundown, you’ll get a glimpse of one of the world’s certified dark skies. When we say Zion is the star of the show, we mean it.

If you’ve never understood what brings millions of people to the national parks every year, this is your opportunity to see why. Chances are, you’ll want to plan a trip to Zion yourself. We don’t blame you. And if you’ve already been, this series promises to give you unprecedented access; VIP treatment, but without the paparazzi.

Tour de parks

Paramount is the first official streaming partner for the National Park Foundation, and together they’re kicking off the partnership with a big bang. Featured locations in the weeklong streaming series include:

  • Zion National Park
  • Death Valley National Park
  • Everglades National Park
  • Blue Ridge Parkway
  • New River Gorge National Park & Preserve
  • Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area
  • Yosemite National Park

Solar-powered cameras will do the filming; Matt Aeberhard, an Emmy-nominated wildlife cinematographer, is the consulting producer. Hard to find a prettier screen saver for the day.

You’ll need to be a Paramount subscriber to watch, either on the Paramount Plus channel or YouTube. But if you want to see Zion in person, check out Utah.com’s mountains and valleys of insider info — for free! We’ll tell you how to get here and places to stay nearby; we’ll even help you decide what to do.
